Hi guys, Oh what a busy time of the year we are closing up the trailer and had are cars detailed this week. Had the carpet cleaned in the house and so much more. With Charlie having lung and bone cancer we are now paying someone else to do what he use to do. Just another stepping stone in the cancer journey but he is doing well this week and that is a good thing.
I am going to join the Colorado Lady in her Vintage Things Thursday. My home or what I call my cottage is my favorite place to be, a place I decorated to reflect all the things I love...and all things including (Charlie) are old or vintage....just kidding.
Just a few of my favorite vintage items, I have loved the vintage look for way to long and my closets, garage and containers under the bed can prove this statement. I change some of the items with the changing of the seasons. As I have always said decorate with what you love and you will love being in your home.
Have a good Thursday and remember...........Having someplace to go is home Having some one to love is family and having both is a blessing.
Love ya,
Sharon K
Family and home are truly rich blessings. I read that you have 11 grandchildren? WOW. Is Charlie your husband? My hubby had prostate cancer and had surgery about 4 years ago. So far he is doing well, but he came close to dying because of a mistake in the surgery! We just got finished reading a book by Dr.David Servan-Schreiber called "Anti cancer, A new way of life." He himself has brain cancer. We found it to be helpful. Thanks for your kind comments on my Spindle Cottage blog!
ReplyDeleteWorldly treasures are fine, but they can never replace a good home and family. I truly enjoyed my visit with you today. I participate in Pink Saturday. Our hostess for that day. Beverly, suggest we introduce a new friend each week. I would like to feature you this coming Saturday. Take care and blessing to your hubby.
ReplyDeleteYou have a lovely family...rich blessings! I enjoy peeking at your vintage treasures. I love using family photos to decorate with :)
ReplyDeleteBlessings!

I love all your vintage touches, Sharon. I think they make a home more inviting and charming. I love all your photographs. Glad to hear your husband is having a good week, that is a blessing. Take care, and thanks for linking in today! Happy VTT!
ReplyDeleteI agree with the decorate with what you love idea. I love your display of vintage photos. I'm thinking of doing something similar in my half bath that I've just repainted. I sure have enough old photos around here.
ReplyDeleteLovely post, I love your vintage photos and that sampler is awesome!
ReplyDeleteI love the vintage photo's and frames, they are such a perfect accent to any room. And that green lantern is beautiful!
